The Madwoman of Chaillot, by French playwright Jean Giraudoux, is as relevant today as when it was written in 1943, offering a hilarious take on corporate greed and grassroots environmental justice. It follows a quirky band of heroes who use their eccentricity, heart and cunning to save their Parisian neighborhood from a group of scheming businessmen who plan to tear up Paris in search of oil they think lies beneath the city streets.
